C5 A6 Multifunction steering wheel options?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Would like to know if anyone has successfully swapped out their C5 A6 four spoke (fugly) MFSW for something a bit more sporty (B6 , B7, TT flat bottom) and if so, what changes did you need (cancelling ring, control module, air bag, etc) to make it work?
    Thanks!

Re: C5 A6 Multifunction steering wheel options?

im in the process of doing this right now. i have a b5 s4 wheel sitting in my basement with the airbag and everything. not sure whats required for the newer wheels, but i believe most of the older 3 point wheels are direct swap

if you are talking about something like this steering wheel http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Audi-...spagenameZWDVW

its plug and play you dont need any other parts just steering wheel and airbag
but if you want rs6 with paddles you will need new self canceling ring,

I was thinking more like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...=p4506.c0.m245 .
This is similar to the sport wheel from the B7 A4. I'm just not sure if the spline is the same as the A6 and whether the the multifunction buttons will work the RNS-E nav functions without changing the control module.
