    Different amp with Bose system

Has anyone ever run their Bose system with just a stronger amp or know if this would be a good idea? I tried searching but couldnt quite find what i was looking for. I'm not a bass junkie or anything but i hardly get any from my speakers. I dont know if the subs are nonfunctional or if its how the Bose system is supposed to sound but after i vag'd the system it didnt show me any problems. Any comments are appreciated.

Re: Different amp with Bose system

you just need to find the amp and tap the the right signals. These wires coming from the amp will hook up to a line out converter and then run to an aftermarket amp then amp to sub.

But i think what you are asking is getting rid of the Bose AMP and hooking up a new one. If i did this i would consider replacing all the speakers. I'm sure you could find something on crutchfield.

I am pretty sure it can't be done because bose speakers are usually 1 ohm and that would fry most aftermarket amps out there. If you get another amp, replace the speakers too.

not if you get a quality amp. there are many out there that will run 1 ohm, however its not worth getting one for the stock subs.

You don't get any bass? I'd check the sub first. I get boatloads from mine, all completely stock.
