Anyone have a solution for this?

For any of you that have a sunroof, you may also be experiencing this same issue. It seems that the rubber surrounds that seal the roof when it's closed become hardened and they begin to squeak. I am a freak about rattles and squeaks in my car and I notice this every once in a while - sometimes when pulling into the driveway when the chassis is flexing. Although not a really big deal, it bugs and I've tried every lubricant known to man but they all seem to dry up within a few days. Anyone else here have this same problem, and if so, what have you done to STOP THE NOISE?

I haven't experienced this issue - but have you considered purchasing an OEM replacement seal? That may be the best option since you've tried all those lubricants...

Let us know - just in case any of us do start having issues.

Never had a squeak there yet.. but just curious, have you tried vasseline? should not dry up fast and it will also repel water away from your seal

Some sort of silicone grease might be a good idea too if you haven't tried it.

Use a moly lithium grease, that did the trick for my M3 that had a similar issue. Make sure its an all-weather grease also so it can hold up to the elements. Oil lubricants tend to dry out when your sunroof is open.

This worked on my Benz when I did it.

Thanks guys. Ok so I exagerated a little when I said I tried everything. I'll try some of these suggestions.

    ^ ^ +1

I use silicon spray on a paper towel, and go over the edges every now and then.... helps with squeaks and the rubber doesn't dry out.

Do you do the door seals too? I can already see some spots that look like they are drying out.

I was pretty surprised to see double door seals on my S4. I haven't had a car that had that before. So very nice :)

Yeah that is the very first thing I tried and it seems to dry out really quickly. Maybe Im using the wrong brand.
