First off here is the dyno sheet.By the way this is the first run all others were for less power.


What should i be looking for that's killing over 100hp to the wheels.The car hit 22psi and tapered to 21 psi during this run.

im not dreaming of over 400hp to the wheels i have 178 to the wheels.another s4 with apr 93 program and rs4/rs6 hybrids and 25psi produced about 350 hp to the wheels.same dyno same night. actually right after i dyno'd.
and even with 100hp to the wheels im still not over even 300.
i have 315 crank tq are you telling me that seems realistic with a stage3 car?

I was looking at the graph i didnt read the numbers below sorry, ya i would say theres a problem or the dyno is #ucked up

well i have no faults for timing but i can check on Monday at work if timing is correct. Will an egt pull timing ? for somereason i thought it pulled boost also . I have no mbc also so its under n75 control

i dont know where they got the iat # they didnt have anything hooked up to my car

i know the high temp doesnt help but the car right after me ran and was producing 350hp to the wheels.

also that night a4 2.0l put down 190hp to the wheels with and exhaust test pipe and a tune

maybe its the CUSTOM tune, how does the car feel because those are worse then a bone stock s4?

it feels faster than my chipped s4 stg 2, haven't done any runs against anyone else though.
i work for audi and it feels faster that a stock b6 s4

i wish i could log so i could throw those up. oh and btw im on stock intercoolers so that might have really killed the numbers and the pulls were on 91 octane.the car that put 350 down was on a 93 program and had a mix of 94 and had er sidemounts in so that could be a big reason why he pulled more just wondering what i should look for as far as my car maybe going into a limp mode.Sorry for the confusion.

you absolutely need to log - something is wrong with your car or the dyno for your session.

On the same tune (well, 91 octane version) I'm running a ~3.8 fats on 91 octane in 80 degree weather on shitty RS4 intercoolers (calculates to ~450chp / 475tq).

I would guess you have a massive boost leak, bad EGT or o2 sensors, or the like. Something is seriously killing your power. Marc's new tunes are excellent.. the original 'custom' tune people like to give so much flack about is old news.. I must say the new, updated tunes he has for both 91 and 93 octane are great. But, even if perchance you have the 'old' tune it still shouldn't be NEARLY that bad..

he has much better, updated files now -- not the 'highly speculated XXX rip' people like to scream about. that's old news and an 'old tune' at this point..

i'm definitely not doubting the tune.Every one who has it likes it that i have talked too.i know its probably something with my car.probably an egt form what im gathering. yeah i just installed it 3 weeks ago.

also - looking at the graphs again. AMBIENT is over 100 degrees. on stock intercoolers, 91 octane and 22 psi spike on a dyno with unkown 'fan quality' well.. it's not a great cocktail. Motronic management will jump in and pull timing like a mother-****** (and dump fuel like a mofo)!

Again.. logs - IAT data, etc would be hugely helpful. i have a feeling the heat just made motronic say 'yeah right'. I wonder what your IAT's actually were with 22psi, stock intercoolers, 101 ambient and 91 octane. i would venture to guess close to 200 maybe?

yeah i know the heat is killing power i just didnt know that it was going to kill that much.
I'll log next saturday on a drive to payson and see whats up. thanks for the help.i should have listened to marc and not dyno'd on the maha ls3000.i'm sure the long dyno runs and set up didnt help the temps much

yeah it still shouldn't kill it that much, i agree! see if you can find someone local with ECUx and do a good 3rd gear log to see what's going on.

stock intercoolers. i probably just heat soaked and had some fuel enrichment going on because of temps. I guess i better get this front mount on and stop dynoing in 100deg temps lol

Proof was viewed by my eyes beating a Supercharged E46 M3. Stage 3 AA with meth injection. We did 3 runs and I pulled each time. That's enough proof for me.

with some false preconceived notions existing regarding marc's kit, a Maha dyno pull with 101 degree ambient temps, 91 octane, stock intercoolers and 22psi doesn't prove anything to anyone. i would guess it would be to keep this thread in a positive helpful discussion rather than turn it into a shit slinging contest.

whether it's the tune or not (probably not) i think it's funy cuz people act like no one ever has issues with other stage 3 tunes.

mbc capping at 20. 91 octane, 2 pulls with ~20 seconds of cooldown. IAT's started ~105 peaking 135 on RS4 IC's.
