Tried launching my car today, it didn't work

One of my friends is a big panzy so we always screw with him when we are driving anything and he is with us such as driving fast for a few seconds or tearing around a corner or whatever. He was talking shit today when him, another friend of ours and me were driving around.

I stopped the car in the middle of a road we were on (side street) and hit the esp button off and wound it up and dropped the clutch. It half bogged, half went and then I smelt clutch which was no good. Guess I had a little to much weight in the car

The panzy is like 240lbs and my other friend is like 220lbs then im 155-160lbs.

So did you sort out the issue you had with the new 71R?

No. I am just running around at 17psi since I was running lean with it at 20psi and I should be building my engine this coming week then upgrading to the new software/injectors, after that I will try to iron out anything needed. It seems like it has been boosting a little earlier though. I hit 17psi at 4400 if I put it in 3rd at like 50mph and build boost from like 3800rpm and forget what it has been doing if I put it into second but it has been a little before 5000.

how do you let it out to fast I let it out the same way I always do, you know like when I cut 1.6 and 1.7 second 60ft times in the 1/4. I just had an extra 460lbs in the car and it didnt like that. I am also only on 17psi so im not making crazy power or anything. I did blaze the tires earlier in the day by myself though.

Its all good, my mom is 5'4" and dad is 5'3" and no uncles or grandfathers are big either, so I didnt have much to work with. I got lucky being 5'8" and then weight is hard to put on but I am built after I decided to start working out in college. Gotta work with what you were given ya know.

I am 6'4" and 240. I am not fat or anything, just need to tone up....I need to drop down to about 210 with even more muscle.

I worked out alone all through college, just have to get in a routine and stay dedicated. I have a partner now though that pushes me hard as hell.

its 10 bucks per heat on sundays (half price for memebers, membership is 15 bucks for life). usually about 10 to 12 laps in a heat. (6 mins @ an average of 32 seconds per lap... for me anyways lol) track record is 28 and change, but that was a pro driver in a shifter kart lol. i did a 31.263 tonight as my personal best, it got me in the top 25 from the last 6 months too.

Wow, at the place around here it's like $35 per race and the cars only get up to about 35 tops. Then they charge you like a $25 fee just to register for the day. So much money gone so quickly.

^^haha, me too, i didn't even have my license and i went to a place called Speedzone out here and i drove through the slick track and overlapped my buddies literally 4-5 times but got kicked out cause i slammed into my cousin at like 40 when he spun out, and on the other grand prix track? i overlapped them a few times.

to b6lovin. indoor carting is the shit. i go to a place by me with my dad and i have yet to be defeated. 8-0. i dont really care about that, but the funny thing is there was a group of hardcore honda s2000 guys in my race who bring all their own gear and helmets and what not. im just chillen in shorts and a tee and smoke these guys. we all get off the track and they are all "who the heck won that?" i slowly raise my hand up, "........me." lol. they have this puzzled look on their face. classic. gotta love the sleep attack. but ive had years of racing experience. racing motocross.

Did you read his first post? he had added weight in his car.

It might be the case that you do not know how to drive...but an extra 400+ lbs in car definetly slows acceleration, let alone a launch.

I have pretty much perfected my launch in my 100% stock 1.8, (cut a 2.0 60') and the second I had two of my friends in (about 300lbs total) I bogged the launch.
