New member....which filler?

Hey guys, new guy here. Picked up an 05.5 Dolphin grey B7 a few weeks ago and have been trolling a little. Just got Stasis Street c/o installed at Supreme Power yesterday, lookin to build up the mod list a little, but not too much. I haven't seen too many modded dolphin greys so far (not my top color choice, but it was there and it seduced me...), so can I get some pics and/or opinions of which filler plate to go with? I was thinkin the platinum grey w/chrome strips would be the best, but since I can't find any pics, not too sure if the colors will clash or if they're similar enough that it would work.

I like the black filler plate. but do you have the chrome trim around the grill? post a pic of the front of your car. I personally love the color of Dolph grey!

Yup, chrome chrome...I'm usually not a fan of chrome, but on the dolphin grey I think it compliments it nicely. I don't have any pics yet, but it's basically a stock non s-line. I wasn't planning on modding it this soon, but the deal was there for the c/o's, so there's no use stoppin now :) Besides the filler should have been my first mod anyway.

Well that doesn't help me at all...I actually like all of them haha! Was that the platinum grey in the first couple or the regular grey? I was just looking on ECS and I think they had 2 different greys.

you have to remember that some of the filler plates won't fit the your grill. There are different filler plates for s-line and non-s-line. I got it used and this is the color it came:

then i had it painted to match my factory color.

I just had my grill painted semi-gloss black. CStarky plastidipped his old grill for me to black out the chrome. I also have a black filler that i'll be putting on tomorrow. My car is QG though. I can't wait to see it. The black grill looks mean! Go with the black/black theme!

Hey, that's awesome! I live In Redands, work in San Bernardino...not so awesome haha.

Which filler is that on the B7 with the vented hood? I like that one to start off with. I just want to do some moderate, clean mods first. Then when I get bored, I'll really dig into it. I work too much and have a bike for the real funz, so I don't want to invest toooo much time in maintaing any mods e.g. chipping grille paint, constantly waxing cf, fixing splitters because bullshit on the road, etc. Been there years ago and I don't want to go back to where 90% of my time is tinkering and obsessing over my car, neglecting life and girlfriend haha. Thanks for all the input so far guys!

Since you have the chrome (its actually polished aluminum, lol), I'd go with the grey filler w/ silver strips.

When you go to ECSTuning.com, do A4 > B7 > 2.0 > Quattro, then click Exterior along the top. Once that long-ass list loads, scroll down to the section entitled "Grille Plate Filler/Standard Bumper" (you can use the Find function on that), and find the item "Genuine Volkswagen / Audi - Front Plate Filler-Grey ES#4695." You will know it because it's the only one that costs "$104.79"

I have one, and both all my friends and my girlfriend comment on how clean it looks. Can't argue w/ what the ladies say, right?

I'll post you a pic of my front end w/ it, since I have Dolphin grey stock non-sline too. I have a Votex front end set I'm gonna get painted and put on, too - you might wanna consider it as another add-on to the front, that's relatively inexpensive, and looks REALLY clean on our color in particular.

I think I'll get a gray one for now, I think the gray/chrome fits better on the dolphin grey. I'm gonna have to spring the ducketts for ABT front lip too, the Votex looks a little ricey to me.

Good choice on the grey w/ chrome strips man, it basically looks color-matched to Dolphin.

As for the Votex, I wish I would've looked around more cuz that ABT lip is damn hot! I may have to try and sell mine.....

I 2nd on this #4695 filler for silver/gray cars. That's the same one I just did on my Quartz B7 and it looks much better than the black one I had. Many compliments on the looks after installing the #4695 plate...friends and family thought I painted the whole car. YMMV.
