I came out to my car one night and saw this wtf ive only had it for 2 months but luckily im getting it fixed for $400 because my aunt knows the manager of this body shop that my local audi dealership goes through anyways so i might as well cut out what the dealership would charge to take to the body shop and repair it...
I guess this delays a couple of my plans such as tints, rs4 front bumper & grill and a flash...

Doesn't look like much to be honest. The bottom just need a clay and maybe buffed out, and the rub strip couldn't be that bad to get resprayed.

I had gotten into a fender bender, front headlight hairline crack, front fender slightly dented and a slight, slight, slight paint transfer on my door molding. The shop replaced the light, fender and molding with new ones and clear coated and/or painted the entire bumper and hood and door. Why buff it out when insurance can pay to get it replaced new after deductible?

yea thats what the body shop is gonna do for me...at first when i got the quote before i spoke with the manager they wanted to charge me $1350 with tax...but like i said above luckily my aunt is good friends with the owner and he'll do it $400 out of pocket...

and insurance-wise...not worth to raise rates to fix something that'll cost me $400...but if i find whoever did this they'll need insurance

if it was hit and run your insurance shouldn't go up.

FYI...thats why i pay an extra ~$75/6mos for broadform. <50% at fault = fixed, no deductible paid

i remember making a claim for a hit and run and my insurance went up. They said it went up due to there being a higher liability or chance that may get a hit and run again... wtf.

It is in no way worth it to take out under insurance since you'll have to pay the deductible anyway.

I don't know where you live or what shops you're getting quotes at, but $1,350 is obnoxious and $400 is still very high. I got my entire rear bumper painted and a corner of it repaired (from hit and run) and it was a tad under $350. I'd clay/buff that myself, DIY paint it if it needed it, then bring it to a body shop if I can't get it looking good enough since the damage is so small.

Albeit a noble solution, shooting someone in the face unfortunately doesn't repair the car.....

Furthermore, a quick death such as that is far too generous for someone who would hit and run; they deserve to die slowly and painfully.
