please help me :)
thanks.
Yes, it will fit in the B6, if the following changes are employed also.
1. The airbag in the new SW, is dual stage. The single stage B6 airbag trigger wire must be connected to fire both stages of the new SW. This will fire both stages at the same time, but no one has actually tested this configuration.
The tip shift paddles will work only with the correct clock spring assembly used with a B6 SW that has shift buttons or paddles. The '04 S4 with tiptronic trans, has the compatible clock spring PN. The Steering Column Control Module must be equal to the "N" suffix module, or a newer version with SW shift buttons or paddle shifters.
On 3.0L TCUs, the shift paddles also work in "Tip in D" where the paddles activate a shift with the shifter in Drive, then reverts back to normal D mode after 10 seconds. The 1.8T TCU does not provide "Tip in D" mode, you have to place the shifter in Tip gate before the shift paddles will be active, and will stay in Tip mode until the shifter is moved back to the D gate.
