No you wont lose you bose, after i installed mine it sounded way better. I think the RNS E is the best mod i have ever done it can be kind of expensive compared to other aftermarket nav systems but i love it. It has 2 SD slots for MP3's but one down fall is that it wont play DVD's even though it has a drive. If you want to play DVD's you will have to get an external DVD player to hook up to it. If you are really intrested in getting one i would check out navplus.us you will find everything you want to know on there.

    +1

no regrets doing the retro-fit... there's a couple caveats if you want to keep satelite radio and a few others, but it's nothing major... navplus is loaded with info.

    do it!
