idk how many coats you have on, but when i was blacking out my grills and i got a drip on it, so i decided to strip and start over, the stuff just peeled/rubbed off very easily, like rubber. It wasn't fully dry yet so I'm not sure if it acts differently when its fully cured. I would try peeling it first if not you can always sand it down.

same thing happened to me. i had to get a knife and cut into it a bit then it just peeled right off. it might depend on what youve used for primer if any or how you sanded it before painting. if it doesnt peel it is probably hard enough to sand.

you could but it will crack after a while. try bbq paint and use lots of clear coat if you want to. ive done my trunk chrome strip like that and it looks the same but cracks(from the trunk lid touching it). use a satin clear if you want the flat black look
