and finally here's one that actually kinda shows it from a dead side angle w/o all the reflections (which make it look even darker.) it's pretty dark though, i think it's a perfect balance of vision function and looks... not so dark that i feel it's COMPLETELY unsafe, it keeps glare and heat down, and it looks sweet

I asked for 20% to be put on, but I have gotten a tint ticket and their machine said it was 13%

i wasn't gonna bring it up... it's a pointless battle at this stage in the game, nobody ever learns lol

and david - i've heard that for some reason tint always reads lower than it should... guess it has something to do with having other tinted windows around it. my friend's 35% read as 30 once and he got a ticket, but he showed his receipt and got it dropped.

Their machine slides over the top of the window and reads only through the window within the machine so other tinted windows wouldnt affect it. There is a possibility of maybe factor tint causing it to be darker. My windows were clear (no tint) but maybe there is some minimal tinting built into the window or something.

Our windows are tinted stock so when you add 20 percent tint, it really is like 12 because they are slightly tinted from the factory. At least that is what the guy who did my avant said. Ive seen lots of people talking about a lot cheaper tint than what i got but the guy that did mine rolled it along the edge so there is no strip (gap) at the top of my windows and supposedly he used good tint. Mine was like 400 bones though.

^ive got the same thing on mine cept i payed 150 lol.

the only thing i hate is the part around the edge of the rear triangles/windshield where that black stuff is... it leaves "bubbles" that you can see from the outside, but we couldn't figure out any way around it short of scraping that stuff off.
