just installed motor mounts... snub wont line up?

so i installed my 034 motor mounts... i wished i got the track mounts now, because i really cant tell a HUGE difference but it is a tad smoother... im going to do the tranny mount tonight (it is track density so i hope it cleans up the slop in the tranny)..... install was fairly easy, the passenger side top nut was a pain to get to but nothing too bad... anyhow when i let it idle a few minutes and tighten the mounts down, my snub is hitting on the drivers side of the cup i loosened all the mounts up, gave it several good shakes, idled some more and it still hits the cup! i finally gave up, and put two washers on the two front bolts of the snub bracket to give me enough clearance to keep it from rubbing.

    any ideas?

The trans mount may be sagging and lifting the frt. of the motor. I have the streets and love them, I'll be putting in the track trans mount today also.

    What he said...

You can loosen the three bolts that hold the arm to the engine block and the cup on the crossmember. Move stuff around and alles guten.

oh ive had it all loose but its still no where near lining up... it rubs bad.......

ill check the tranny mount this afternoon... those OEM ones are so soft it could be part of the problem... perhaps throwing in that 034 tranny mount will help it find its home

stock motor mounts will break/pop/crack at some point (they are fluid filled) whereas 034 mounts are solid... its a nice upgrade to do your snub/motor/and tranny mounts to 034 mounts... it will reduce slop and engine movement considerably

I put the track trans mount in, I'm going to run it for a couple of days and then re-adjust it. But right off the bat, much less slop, but much more in cabin vibs, especially right off idle. It is a track mount so it's expected, anyone what to trade for their street version?
