    pcv-valve removal = stinky AC

    Hi guys,

When i did my GTRS we removed the PCV-valve and replaced it with a breathe filter at the back of the engine, where the hardline is (close to the firewall). Now, after i've driven for a few minutes, there comes a lot of smoke out of the filter (which i assume is normal) but this make my AC stink as hell, i was wondering how you guys who have removed it, solved this problem?

Press the button on your AC so that your only using the inside air not fresh air. Other wise you will need to relocate the breather further away from your cabin filter.

using air from the cabin will work yeah, but man does that suck;) i like fresh air:) but yeah, is there any downsides if i relocate? just apply a tube and pull it down to the cold side or something?

You should have a lot of smoke coming out of it, but you can put a piece of hose on it and extend it down to the drivers side of the trans.

Re: pcv-valve removal = stinky AC

another solution to your problem is the setup i'll be using... im going to be running a hose from mine to a type of vacuum generator that welds into your exhaust pipe, and then screws in. (like an o2 sensor/bung..)

here's a vague picture of what im talking about... i can't find it online. anyways, the idea is that it puts all that crap into your exhaust where it burns up/goes out the back. no more breather filters, and it ALWAYS draws a vacuum in the crank case (as long as exhaust gases are moving) instead of not having a vacuum when you're in boost.

Re: pcv-valve removal = stinky AC

I just put a AEB valve cover from a b5 on mine wich eliminates the pcv and cleans up the engine bay
