The STasis will allow you to dial out more of the inherent understeer by going with the higher rear rates. STasis will match the dampening to what ever rates you pick. The PSS9's you are going to have to deal with the rate you are given.
Custom rates would be true on the STaSIS/Ohlins Motorsport's but the STaSIS/Ohlins SL's are a fixed spring rate--you request anything different;
STaSIS Ohlins SL Sport coilover kit for B6/B7 S4/A4; 4 STaSIS valved OHLINS steel body CCJ Dampers dampers w/ digressive damping, height adjustable, Ohlins high performance polymer spring perches for corrosion resistance and eliminating spring “wind-up” (reduced friction), 4 linear rate Hyperco or Eibach springs (750f/1100r S4, 650f/1000r A4), STaSIS 6061-T6 aluminum mounting hardware, UHMW spring perch bearings
You CAN request rates on the MS's;
STaSIS MotorSport coilover kit for B6/B7 S4, B7 RS4; 4 STaSIS valved OHLINS dampers w/ external front reservoirs, double digressive damping, external damping adjustability (comfort & performance), adjustable while installed on vehicle, lightweight aluminum threaded damper bodies, height adjustable, 4 linear rate Hyperco springs, 450 lb. to 1000 lb. spring rates, balanced and adjusted on SPA damper dynamometer
Now, onto your question....I actually haven't driven on a set of SL's yet so I can't say how they compare to PSS9's. The advantage I see to SL's is that they're Ohlins dampers which surpass Bilstein dampers. However, an advantage to the PSS9's is that they're 9way adjustable, whereas the SL's are fixed in that regard (and only ride height adjustable).
How much track work will you be doing?
