I found the product to be easier to work with, less steps, and a better result, and best of all, cheaper.
I just bought an 2004 A4 (navy blue) last night and my girlfriend just bought a 2006 Cadillac CTS (black) a couple weeks ago. I will be (or at least plan on) detailing both of them to remove swirls, spider-webbing, and an overall cleaning to my standards. I will be posting some before/after shots as well.
I've known the "creator" of Tropi-care since the late 90's when he was my local Zaino dealer. It was rumored that he hired chemists to reverse engineer Zaino to be able to make his own product when Zaino stopped giving bulk discounts. His tropi-care product is the result.
I tried Tropi-care, and it doesn't last NEARLY as long as Zaino. The initial results are great. But after a month, I found all it's great results to diminish.
So it's which ever type person you are, is the glass half full or half empty?
Zaino: Great Results, More expensive, long protection
Tropicare: Great Results, less expensive, short protection, more long term work.
And I just about busted a gut with Tropicare's claim that some lab showed that even Dawn wouldn't removed their polish. I told them if that were true they owe me a brand new paint job. Frankly over the years, I've found the guy to be full of you know what.
