    Pre-Cut Window Tint Job?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I see on InvisbleMask.com that they also carry Pre-Cut Window Tint besides just ClearBra's. Anyways i'm wondering if anyone has done their own window tint job instead of bringing it to a shop. Also, what tools would be needed to get the existing tint off. Only plan on doing front/rear sides, not back window.

    Any input would be appreciated.

    -Thanks.

you'd need a heat gun and something long a semi sharp to make a hitting motion while you peel it off

most shops do this. Pre-cut everything and apply...you should go hang out with someone while they do it and learn how to do it.

    Re: Pre-Cut Window Tint Job?

I found it to be really hard. I spent about $40 on everything, tried to put it on, got creases in every window and ripped it while doing the back window. Definitely takes patience and a good quality tint. I bought mine off of ebay and it wasn't that good. I've gotten quotes for $200 to have it done professionally and it seems worth it rather than the trouble of doing it yourself.

just get it done professionaly. I have a freind that tried doing it himself and it looked like shit when he was done. He had to pay a professional after to get it done right. it's only a couple hundred bucks.

I agree with the post b4 mines. I own a tint shop and also sell pre-cut kits. By the time you buy all the necessary tools and heat gun, you would of been better off having a professional do the job. I sell my pre cut kits to guys that knows how to install it. Hope this helps

Why aren't you doing the back window? Won't that look weird?

I bought it with rear window & rear passengers already done. But the dealer messed up the tint on the rear right passengers, so I am planning on taking off the rear side tint & then just doing all four side windows.

But thanks for all the information guys, maybe I won't add in the pre-cut tints with my clear-bra order & just get some quotes from local tint shops.

    Info is appreciated.
