depends on ur year if it is an 02 then no but if u have an 02+ then u rewire ur switch and program using vag

Lucky, my fogs don't come on with the running lights, i'd like to drive around at dusk with just the fogs on & not all the lights on.

I didn't have to do any re-wiring, I just set the VAG-COM coding to Canadian, as suggested above ^^

Nope, I don't have them at all. Lights only come on when it gets dark while the switch is set on Auto. No Daytime running lights at all otherwise.

Your ambers/parking lights are still on with the KAN coding.

It's funny that some American's want the DRLs (fogs) ON, and some Canadian's want the DRLs (fogs) OFF. Same thing with the Euro Audi owners that import North American headlights.

There are several ways you can code your actual headlights, however the foglights are seperate and independent form the actual headlights.

If you code the headlights to non-DRL, they will not come on during the daytime, on the 2002 MY, you can code the foglights to come on in dependently from the headlights (the parking lights must be on though)

2003MY and up there is a DIY mod in which you bend back one of the pins to the headlamp switch, this will allow you to code the foglights seperately from the headlights.

The corners are silverstar from Pepboys.. They're great (look silver blueish when off and orange when on)

^^if u want them to come on everytime u release the parking brake, set it to Canada, if u wanna be able to pull ur switch out with ur parking lights on and they come on set it to rest of the world, but u must rewire ur switch takes 5 min.

I bought the cable to change a couple things for my B5 S4 and have started a sharing program for the cable since I no longer need it. I will ship it to the next person who'd like to use it. I am also putting a CD with it with software and any instructions and how-to's I've come across (haven't added too much for the B6's yet, sorry). All I ask id that once you're done that you pay to ship it to the next person. It will cost about $5 to ship it anywhere in the US via USPS Priority Mail. So you only pay to ship it to the next person which will save people a little $$$

definately a good idea for one time users... however u can buy a cable for $15 shipped off ebay and then use the cracked version of vag com to get logs and what not

ok so i just re wired my switch (btw pain in the ass, the switch wouldnt come out, i actually pushed on it too hard and pushed it in about two an inch, so i wound up having to remove the fuse panel cover and push it out).. and the foglights still only come on with the headlights... i need to do the vag programming as well?... btw i dont have drls... its either on or off lol parking lights, headlights...headlights with fogs and headlights with front fogs and rear fog...

in order to allow fogs on with only city/parking lights you must vagcom to Rest of world setting.
Just rewiring switch is only half the mod.

If you want DRL fogs you must vagcom to canada setting.

either way vagcom required.

what's the obsession with running just fog lights? I really only see that being useful in foggy conditions. Otherwise i really don't see how it's an aesthetic desire for people. It doesn't really look cool. IMO the regular running lights on by themselves looks better, or better yet both lows and fogs together. I don't get why you would go through the trouble changing settings and stuff unless it's always foggy where you live.

^^ that my friend is exactly why we are all entitled to our own opinion and have our own cars to do what we may desire!! it is understandable, kind of like myself.. i dont understand why people put an exhaust on an automatic car like ours but hey thats what they want and who am i to tell them otherwise
