So HUMMERS right now are super cheap... I mean you can easily argue 10k off the stick price no sweat. I got a guy wanting to sell me a 2005 H2 adventure fully loaded with everything (navi, spot lights, towing pkg, 3rd row, 3 tv's, etc) for 20k! The car only has 30k and only one owner..
-OR-
2005 Dodge Ram SRT Viper Powered (10 cyl) one owner 26k MINT, only for 25k, after 12,600$ savings (from carmax)
My dad and I have been debating whether it is a good idea to purchase a big gas guzzler like these and keeping them until the economy gets better or gas gets cheaper, until people start to want them again. Once the demand for these comes back I would sell it and either;
A.) walk away even (selling it for the price I paid)
B.) making a profit.
- My dad believes it is a bad idea, and that I would only purchase a vechile like this for personal enjoyment and basically spend every penny I make into it, until I sell it for a low price, because people will never want a car like this.
- I believe that once the economy gets better and gas decreases slightly the demand for these will increase and people will want to buy them. When that does happen I will sell and walk away a happy man. I believe that when people (rich ppl in particular) start getting some extra $$$ in there pockets, they will want a car like this ( that is limited in production, and stamped with its assembly number). Also people will want to own a piece of history.
Tell me what you guys think!
THANKS
James
