Custom Tune

I was thinking about getting a custom tune from a local shop. The owner said with an Apr Chip i lose 20 hp after my engine heats up. With the custom tune he claimed that he could keep me that 20hp and give me about 10hp in addition. I have the tt injectors. Just wondering if anyone has taken this route and noticed a difference.

Have him explain just how he plans on doing so and what software he plans on using.

also, its a waste for the stock turbo... Save your money until you get a big turbo

Lose 20hp after your engine heats up ... maybe lose 20hp after the stock SMIC is headsoaked. Software or a custom tune isnt going to do shit for that unfortunately

Since he in CT i wonder if he is talking about EPL, Tony over there does some pretty good custom tuning. But 20hp on stock injectors and turbo seems a little bit much.

Haven't people posted up many times that EPL no longer tunes A4's?

I talked to Tony (IIRC) maybe 6 weeks ago about doing a custom tune for me with a hybrid K04 setup. He told me it wasn't a big deal and they could do it. maybe they have stopped. but i wasn't aware of it.

Well they could just be looking for any type of work now.
