    1400 RPM idle...

    recently had a bad MAF, car was going limp and idled like shit/stalled a lot. changed that out, fixed nearly all my problems however now the car idles really high, around 1400 RPM, but around 800 with the AC on... I'm thinking bad O2 sensor or something, though no cel's on. Anybody experienced this before?

    do you have a chip? had same problem would idle high then idle good with ac on. used vag com to reset the throttle adaption and fixed the idle

    I had a high Idle speed before, but I did some work that involved the ECU removal and when you disconnect the ECU it cause the car to relearn its settings. I went from about 1300 rpms to 850sih. When removing and reinstalling the ECU be sure to let the car sit (with your door open) after turning it on and wait for the Ding to stop (typically around 1-2 min) and it should have readjusted by then to its normal Idle Speed.
