Hi all! I just registered, but have been reading you for a while now...

I'm speccing my 2009 A3 S-Line and I was wondering what you guys think about the BOSE system? Is it worth extra cash over the standard 8 speaker 140W system?

    Thanks!

Yes, it's well worth the extra money. Highly reccomended. You can never go wrong w/ more wattage and higher quality speakers.

    Re: Bose Or Not?

ive heard A LOT of people say they didn't notice a 3000$ difference (not sure the exact price) between the stock and the bose. I know a lot of them were unhappy that the stock sounded very close to the bose and the bose people paid a lot more extra. Id personally go with the stock system and save the $3000 for mods or something more useful on the car

Bose is a £400 option in the UK - probably cheaper for you chaps over there. Has a great sound to it.

I dont know about bose being a 3000 dollar option, i think that may be incorrect. I would still highly reccomend it, but if you are a little kid or live in the midwest then save the upgrade money for ricing out your audi.......ugh.

    Re: Bose Or Not?

I've been to the shop, listened to both, and I really couldn't justify paying all that money... (over here it's about...550gbp or 800€ or about 1100$)

With that money I can buy petrol to drive around for like half a year, so I gave up, ordered the standard 140W speakers, they are more than enough for me!

    Thanks for your input!
