8 BMW Z8's and a Murcielago in less than 24 hours

So we are up here in Monterey, CA working on the VW Launch of the New Passat CC and during our down time we have been detailing a handful of vehicles here for the Concours in Pebble Beach and the Russo Steele Auction.

The US BMW Z8 club is here with 30+ vehicles and we have worked on 8 so far plus a Yellow Pearl Murcielago today.

I will post pictures ASAP. In the parking garage we are working in sits the $5 Million Dollar one of a kind Ferrari P45.

POS's. Sorry, but BMW is a truly great car company and the Z8 is the only "top of the line" product they've built in how many years? If a company like Mercedes can make a car that is successful on as many levels as the SLR managed to be, you'd think that at the very least BMW could build something less pretentious that could lap a track faster.

Pretty neat that you get to work on cars of that caliber though. I just hope you get more Murcielagos to keep you entertained.

I agree BMW needs to make some type of super car, but comparing the z8 to the SLR is apples to oranges.

But if BMW was to compete w/the high end mercedes they would dominate. Just look at the the e60 m5 and mercedes sedans in the same price range, bmw FTW.

Always loved the look of the Z8...who cares if they compete with Merc or not, or if the car is a super-car or not. The car is just beautiful.

I agree, Z8 is a hot car...not the fastest, but they do turn heads. I live on the west side of LA and see all sorts of cars. But not many Z8s...

so what's up Evan? can't detail my car anymore?

I'm not comparing apples and oranges. i'm saying bmw's apple isnt good enough and they need an orange. if bmw made a true supercar i'm confident they could build something that would give the dominant ferrari f430s and such a run for thei money.

Z8 looked good enouh to be a Bond car, but then again so did Z3s. In the end Astons are better looking though. The point is that the Z8 isnt the best in any category but if bmw put the effort in they could build a car that is the best in all categories. I just think the Z8 is the manifestation of my frustration with bmw. its like if michael phelps was content with bronzes. i'd be pissed.

Yea man I went to the historic races and saw a shitload of cars. The Z8 club was there too but the highlight of the day was when I saw an F50

but i saw too many cars to list
