Anyone know team_soy , i may have been scammed

Well long story short. I paid team_soy/Esss_pho 460 bucks for a UUC VM1 exhaust for a B5 S4. I paid him sunday and he agreed to ship it monday. The last message i got from him was tuesday saying hes not sure when he will ship.

Since then he's logged on and i know he's read my PM's about refunding my money if he cannot ship immediately since i needed the exhaust for Dyno this weekend. I have opened a paypal complaint and informed him of this but nothing. I am now basically waiting for paypal to run it's course and i am talking to my attorney and unless Tony Canty (if thats his real name) can provide me with proof of shipment or my refund he will be taken to court.

Does anyone know or has had interaction with this person. He claims hes from Tallahassee FL.



EDIT: His real name is Kurt Daniels , 20 year old FAMU student from north florida. Tall African american, Drives a black 00 S4. i have video of him, pictures of him, profiles...info. Give me another day ill get legal info if i have to. Oh and of course PROOF that all of this info is true. If he refuses to comply i will start uploading the pics, videos and forum posts.

Kurt, Send me my Exhaust or you can expect me, a letter from my attorney or law enforcement at your door. Or all of the above.


Edit 8/16: He pmed me saying there was a family emergency. I will give him the benefit of the doubt as long as i get my refund or tracking number. I am fully prepared to make a public apology to kurt once he makes good on the deal

Edit: 8/19 He has provided me with tracking numbers and the parts should be here tomorrow.

how did you pay through paypal? cc or direct withdrawal? if you paid with a credit card, you can lodge a dispute with the cc company as well.

Well considering we agreed he'd ship on monday and provide me a tracking number, I have written him a few Pm's inquiring about the status and i know he's logged on since then to read the pm's.He lives in the same state as me so shipping would take 1-2 days. Also i'm sure he got the paypal claim Email which he hasnt responded to. Perhaps he will redeem himself. but Fairly new member, no PM responses and a new paypal account all lead me to believe my assumptions are correct.

I contacted him about this same exhaust. Was going to pick it up in person but he didnt want to take cash he wanted me to order a timing belt kit and have it delivered to him before hand. Tried telling me he didnt want to hassle with ordering it. Seemed fishy so I backed out.

I ordered some coilovers on ebay for my spec v and the dude sed he had them in stock i gave him a month pm'ed him everyday no replies and i just decided to say fux it and contacted paypal and got my money back after two months. Post up all the info you have on him. You'd be amazed at what the community can do for you. Same situation happened with a buddy of mine with a 350Z exhaust. He posted up everything on a forum and within a couple of weeks the guy was so scared and frustrated from all of the harrassment, he refunded the money.

HaHa you see the "custom" part in my sig, that means you have to cut and hammer the crap out of it to get it on. It sounds like sex once you get it on there though. Due remember that when he agrees to ship it out monday he probally never thought it would be this difficult to ship something out. Even looking for a box is hard and then finding a cost effextive way to ship....Forget about it. Relax he is prabally sweating over it too...

Very true, it's easier said than done, shipping large items out like that. But at the same time, avoiding communication is a sure way to get someone nervous when you already have their hard earned cash. I wouldn't have agreed to those shipping terms if I was the seller and didn't already have it boxed up though..

He has no excuse, unless something tragic has happened to him, which obviously isn't the case if he is still signing on here. You've really done all you can do. Give him one more chance to rectify the situation, then post it up in the buyer/seller feedback forum. If he's really a rip off artist, then he won't last too long here. he said "ready to ship" in his thread, but refused to put up any pictures for a guy who had money waiting. he has this pic of just the tips (which don't look like UUC). either way...it was shady as hell and i backed off.
