No dynos on upgraded RS4's available.

Hmm. I should take my S4 back to where I had my Mazdaspeed3 dyno'd. With a Mazdaspeed CAI and CBE, the car put down 275/287 on the shop's dyno.

Be interesting to see what the S4 would do on the same thing.

Not gonna lie, but im tired of seeing you trying to prove that the a4/2.0T can make equal or more power than the s4.. youve gotta understand while this may be true...you have a super flat power band along with a less reliable motor. Good job to you for getting a '4.9' 0-60 without putting a bigger turbo... but i highly doubt you actually got that...

Im not trying to prove anything. Im a N/A guy love the S4 and would trade my 4 Banger in a heartbeat for a 4.2 S4. Just comparing how different dynos and different cars are putting down between 40-50WHP differences. Some S4's are putting down 280WHP and others 230WHP on the same dyno. I find it very interesting and great for discussion. As for the 0-60 just think about it, a stock B6/B7 S4 does 0-60 in 4.9-5.3. The A4 has more torque a little less HP and is 300-400lbs lighter. I don't get whats so hard to believe. Anyways the S4 is a gorgeous car with an incredible interior and not knocking the car at all. (I love the S4 for a matter of fact). Don't be a hatter:)

I find this pretty interesting...IIRC, the S4 is rated at 340hp and the RS4 is rated at 420hp (a difference of 80hp). However, the dyno shows a difference of 115hp? Is that really true? If so, I need to get myself a B7 RS4 ;)
    Cheers,

I thought the same thing. How does the RS resist the loss?

Exactly. Even two dynojets might not be the same. And since two S4s can show different numbers on the same dyno on the same day, I think comparing numbers is often pointless.

Chasing numbers is an endless and often expensive endeavor ... Sometimes it seems at the expense of actually enjoying the car as it is at the time. "If it just had this" or "I can get another 9hp with that" ...

    Just have fun, right?

Yup. Even the same dyno can read differently. There are parameters that can be set. Plus variances in conditions. Comparing any of this is pointless.

this has been beaten to death. unless you have the same cars in the same exact dyno, you cannot compare. on a good day to do dynos, cars can still have a bad day due to a multitude of reason.

You are missing the latest mod...

A B6/B7 S4 w/ supercharger has 496hp at crank, and roughly 400hp at the wheels..

Well you shouldn't get your hopes up, it wont fit on a 2.0 4 cylinder anyways..

I'm sure you haven't been keeping up with it, but there are already cars in testing and will be many more on the road in another month. I do expect this supercharger to come to market.

Why do you have RS4 in your garage along with an 2.0T,ML500 and S80.
    Not that I care btw.
I've been Audiless for a while but one of my DD will get replaced by an A3.

Re: X Post from B7 A4 Forum. Dyno Comparisons.

why are you throwing Evo numbers in there too.....an Evo would RAPE an A4. shit it'll prolly rape an S4 too. I just dont see any reason for this post.

plus where the hell did you get your B6/B7 numbers???? 230whp with full exhaust??? Seriously bro......so when bhvdr's car has just those mods and puts down over 300whp....what he's lying? or is his car some superfreak?

If someone here was unfortunate enough to have a B6/B7 S4 and have some mods and then get dynod somewhere that fucked up and gave him a number of 230whp.....why would you take that number and run with it like its written in stone??? Im sorry....but again....i just dont see any reason for this post!!!
