hey guys my springs just came in and i think something is wrong.
i checked the part number for the springs, its supposed to be 55.02.49 for my 08 a4 2.0t Quattro. But the problem is the front ones are 55.02.44.
does someone know if it right or wrong, pls respond asap.

also will i be needing a spring compressor when installing the springs.
ima do it myself. have done it before on my civic hatchback, but didnt need at that time.

    Re: neuspeed race springs

Strangely it appears they are using the same part# for the front springs for the B5 A4 quattro, the B6 A4 fwd and quattro, and the B7 FWD and quattro.

    cheers! mike

call up your vendor or call up neuspeed and double check it with them before you do anything else.

The part number on the springs aren't going to tell you if you got the correct springs - look at the number on the box.

    Re: neuspeed race springs

The part number on the spring will not necessarily match the kit part number. You can always check with Neuspeed directly for individual spring part numbers, I'm sure they won't mind looking it up for you.

I have the Neuspeed Race springs on my 06. A spring compressor is needed for installation. I only had to use it to remove the rear springs though. You can get away without a spring compressor at all if you are crafty.

    Re: neuspeed race springs

If you lower the rear frame, springs will fall out by them selfs --> then it's really easy!

    Good luck!!

Thanks for the compliments! Here's another shot after a few weeks, not much settling. But I am in desparate need of wheel spacers and clearing the headlights.

    Re: neuspeed race springs

It is stiff. The wifey likes it (she drives it mostly) and that's all that counts :) But we're used to stiff suspension since just about all of our cars over the past 10 years have had some type of aftermarket suspension (simple springs to full out coilovers/sways/braces/etc.), and we've had a lot of cars. The average person would never put up with the ride of the Race springs.

I bought used suspension from a member here. He has b6 fwd, but apparently a lot of fwd guys use awd springs due to the weight ratio.
