I run 18x8.5 ET43 wheels, so no offset in the 40s is not stupid.

    Re: wheel fitment question

It is going to be set in by 7mm from say the normal 35 of a 8.5" wide wheel that sits all most flush... I would think it would look better with spacers to bring you to at least 35.. just my .02

I have 2 sets of summer wheels and I'm too lazy to change the avatar or sig.

    18x8.5 ET43 255/35/18

    18x8.5 ET35 235/40/18

The lower the ET measument the more wheels stick out.

As for B5 S4 brake clearance, much has to do with the spoke design. Not sure if the proposed reps will fit.

    Re: wheel fitment question

If you like poke, then i would go with a +35 offset and a nice wide tire.
