what should my boost gauge read at idle when the ac is cranked?? 20 when its off and what when on?

I believe it depends on how strong your engine is. When I'm at Idle mine reads -22/23, then when the ac is on its between 18-20 depending on how high I have the ac blowing. Hopefully I wasn't told wrong and there is actually something wrong with my car. I don't need anymore problems.

Also depends HIGHLY on ambient conditions and elevation. If you are in vac -20hg with ac off then it will be around -15/-16hg with ac on.
