WTF!! My 4K Mile Timing Belt is Shredded!!!!

My engine is trashed even though I had the entire front end rebuilt less than 4K miles ago. I replaced EVERYTHING and I still grenade the engine. Damn. I even had an Audi mechanic do it for me. He did it "on the side" at the dealership and this shit happens.....what is my recourse if any?

The problem here is (by the side). No invoice, no proof. Do you have a litle invoice of your timing belt?

Same shit happened to me, and yes it sucks. I had a kinda reciept showing the break down of the stuff done and the cost but he name wasn't on it. And he guaranteed me he would get it right and all he did was fuck it up and cover his tracks. Kinda sucks, And it's costly. But i'm up and running now, Techs like this give good techs bad names.

Brady (S Vier), it wasn't you but now I'm wishing I did come to you. I can't blame anyone but myself for this mess. I bought all brand new Audi front end components so it could either be improper installation or a fault tensioner. Who knows. I'll take it apart and diagnose what really happened.

you can take the guy to small claims court over the issue, people saying there is nothing you can do are wrong.

but i would talk to the guy who did the work first, court isn't an enjoyable process.
