I was wondering if there's a better way of lowering where the mufflers sit by about .5"-1" down without bending the metal hangers.

    Re: Lowering mufflers

Me thinks you should just bend the hangers. I don't see how else you could do it... other than bending the exhaust pipes themselves?
I know what you mean though... it's annoying when they don't sit right!

Would running spacers on the brackets or longer rubber hangers work?

maybe you could use some washers as spacers and get some longer bolts for these hangers...
