Ok I've searched the forums and done a bit of homework, so I've come to one conclusion and I'd just like a little bit of input to make sure I've got a right idea. I've got a 2000 A4 1.8T Quattro and I just had it GIAC chipped, had a little bit of a problem with it but after a coil pack and new plugs it runs great. SO, to the point, I think I'm going to get the Bosche 710N valve, and I've heard some people put it in backwards for the sound, I'm curious if it changes the sound from the stock one if you put it in the correct way. Oh and how reliable is the 710N, I know some people have had it die within six months so...I would just like an input from the folks 'round here! Thanks!

The real question is, 'How long do you think your stock dv is going to last you with the extra added boost?' The 710n is very reliable and the cheaper route for those whom do not want to go say............the Forge, APR, Bailey's, etc route. I actually had an extra one I gave to a user maybe a month ago. They are easy to come by and can more than likely find someone on AZ whom will sell you one for $20. I just gave mine away.

As for the placing of it backwards, if you search it you should pull up multiple threads as I remember seeing that topic of discussion on many threads. I just was not too concerned about it as it did not really pertain to any info I would need personally in the future (maybe).

With the power you are making, you will barely hear the DV unless you are under full boost. I would just install it correctly.

I just got my car back from the shop (New Jasper engine w/ Garrett GT2871R, w/ APR chip) running awesome. Went to Waterfest 14 and got me a Forge splitter best thing ever in my opinion. Super reliable, lifetime warranty with Forge.
