WTF no LED tails?

Why? Why would the B8 not come with LED tails like the DTM racecar? I am literally not buying this car because of this.

It's probably just me, but other than their hi-tech look I find LED tail lights a bit annoying when I have to stare at them in front of me.

There's something to be said for their instant response time with brake lights, but I think a LED third brake light takes care of that...

I personally think amber turn signals are more important.

Listen here brother, I've been to the factorys in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm, I've been to DTM tracks in Germany and I watch every race that comes out. So let's put aside the poser comments.

It was a joke, I am just dissapointed because the DTM race car looks so damn amazing with LED's plus, I don't know why there is no continuity in the lines as the new Q5 has LED's.

anyone know if these will fit the a5?
otherwise i asume they will come standard with the RS5 no?

You don't need LEDs to have a good looking tailight. The new TT has AMAZING tailights and theres no LEDs.

LEDs do look nice but it is true they are a pain to stare at from behind for long periods of time

I think I understand "Hockenheim"'s point of view. I was expecting too a lot of goodies on this release - DSG, LED tails, turbo V6 for the S4. None of them is available yet and we know the S4 is going to be supercharged.
It feels like Audi is skimping or will deliver some of these goodies in the higher end S4. On the other hand Audi has kept on their promise to keep the prices comparable with the previous generation. BMW is increasing all their prices on their lineup.

For now, my current A4 is good enough. I hardly drive it anyway - most of the time I drive the Z4 but when my back has had enough of rough rides, I'll take the A4 and enjoy it tremendously. Power, comfort, high-tech.

I'll wait a little bit - maybe middle or end of next year to make a decision if I move to the new one.
