Does a Powerchip really work in a B6 3.0???

I am looking for some feedback regarding chips. I have a 05 B6 3.0 Tip. I have read there are not many mods available for power ugrades on the 3.0 unless you supercharge it. Not dropping the money for that. I have read that the Powerchip 93 Gold will add 15hp and about 15lbs of torque. This chip is designed to work well too at half throttle. You can read the stats on www.powerchip.com. I am hoping someone has tried this chip or knows someone who has. It sell for around $650. I am looking to see if it is worth the $$ or not. Thanks for any input.

I used to be sponsored by them, used to have the chip but it sucks. Gave me engine trouble and the car would skip gears, not worth it.
