has anyone tried B8 wheels on their B6??..

specifically i'm referring to these..


they are 18".. i am still trying to find out the width and offset, but it might be 32.. if anyone knows please chime in..

i know the hubs are different, but the B8 wheels are larger than B6 hubs so it should work with rings.. anyone know where to get hub rings??..

also will 245/40/18 tires work on B6 with OEM sport suspension (USP)??..

And where do you propose we get these wheels??? Most dealers just started getting this car and no one is going to pay OEM prices for them.

^^ yeah i was gonna say why would you switch out the stock 5 spokes you have for slightly newer stock 5 spokes? Unless they are winter wheels? But in that case why waste the time and money when you have your stock 5 spokes anyway?

to answer some of your questions / concerns.. though really i am just trying to find out B8 wheel specs (width and offset) and where to get hub rings..

i am looking for some 18" for my Red USP Avant b/c i did not come with USP wheels.. i wish it came with USP wheels, but since i have to buy them, i would rather get something else..

i want an 18" silver OEM styled wheel..

there is someone in my area with an A5 who is getting new rims and selling these..

thanks for the link BNZ TOY, i've seen it and it doesnt seem to contain concrete data.. it says the offset is 47, but i saw hartmann has an S5 rep (for the A5) with a 25mm offset and said it was too aggressive for a B6..

but i believe the S5 rep is more aggressive than this 18" 5-spoke.. 32 was suggested, but not confirmed..

Sable is running 18 x 8.5 with et30 and H&R race springs.. so if this is et32 it may work..

the best info i have so far is the hub is 66.56mm on the B8 and 57.1 on the B6.. which means B8 wheels should work on a B6 with hub rings (if i can find some)..

well that's what i know so far.. i anyone can help fill in the pieces i would appreciate it..

well i just got off the phone with the Audi dealership and Achtun!ng and i got the answers i was looking for..

the A5 5-spoke discussed in this thread is::
18 x 8
et29
66.6 hub
same ball-seat lug nuts

achtun!ng sells hub rings for $5ea..

using the offset calculator, it shows these rims would sit the same as Sables (18 x 8.5 x et30)..
