removable paint? lol just a thought

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I got thinking that it would be nice if it existed a paint that one could spray and if you did not like it, it could be peeled or removed without damaging the surface below. Like a test paint, so that if you like it, you could then use a regular paint. I would like to see my wheels painted in a dark color but not a pshop since I would like to see my car from different angles and sunlights.

I went to Kmart the other day and saw Halloween costumes and saw the color hair spray which is removed with shampoo lol and that inspired my thought. lol

Ever hear of plasti-dip? Its basically that, it will peel right off leaving the surface fine. Its more like a thicker rubber coating then paint.

How much would it cost to do a whole a4? Did he say 1500. for the BMW? That's a bit much imo. I would consider it if it were half that. I'm sure someone here will try this.

Re: removable paint? lol just a thought

Knew a guy in college with an MG and he kept re-painting it with rustoleom-type paint every few weeks so he could choose a color. It was funny back then. But I imagine the real paint job must've cost quite in bit due to the amount of stripping that would've had to be done. :)

A few years ago, someone invented a thermal paint that changed color based on temp. Perhaps you can use something like that and control the temp of the body panels :)

Sort of what Bruce Willis did to his van in the movie 'The Jackal'. It was white, pressure washed, then it was red! :D

i would think that in the jackal he used a soft interior paint like latex and then it was easy to wash off, the vinyl wrap is interesting maybe a matte black A4 with flat black rs4 Reps and black led turnsignals that would be pretty.

I was just thinking of that.

It was red then they stripped the vinyl off and it was blue. or vise versa maybe.

do they make flat black rs4 reps even? or would you have to do them yourself?

there is a product. I know a car manufacturer which needed a white car for photoshoot but there was only black available.
They changed its color for few days.
I will try to ask who makes it.
