Still having problems with AVIC: wiring pics inside (heavy pic content)

My rear amp is shot. I recently installed an AVIC D3 and i can not get my rear speakers to work. I have tried to bypass the amp but its still not working. The remote turn on is wired correctly as my amp is getting power from both the main power line as well as the remote line. here are my wiring pics, please chime in if you see a misplaced wire. im 2002.5 symphony non-bose

subscribed. i have the exact same problem - no rear speakers. i am also pretty sure that my remote turn on was wired per the instructions. 2003 non-bose for me.

well i registered for AVIC411 and set up a thread.. basically cut and paste from here.. we will see what happens with it i guess. Once its all figured out im sure i could do a write up. maybe Martini is interested in a quality write up for a4mods.com

do you get NO sound or just very weak sound levels?

I have extremely quiet rear speakers...driving me nuts.

so when you turn the stereo on and you have no sound from rears, If you out your ear up on of the rear woofers do you hear and hissing, could tell real quick if the amp is turning on or not

im getting absolutely no sound, no hissing nothing. I know for a fact that my rear amp is shot as i have said atleast 20 times. I am trying to bypass the amp and power the rear speakers from the D3 itself. have you tried adjusting the rear speaker output level from your deck? balance and fade adjustments are your friend

can anyone who has a 2002.5 Non-bose symphony please take some decent pictures of their wiring harnesses? i know its a pain in the ass but it would be much appreciated. Im sure my wiring is correct but something is wrong between my D3-->metra-->oem harness-->amp-->speakers

yeah ive tried playing with the balance/fade.

If i turn on any of the staging effects (like music studio etc) i can only pick front, not rear and no sound from the rear if its on.

no effects means i get sound sound from the rear, but not nearly the same volume as front. sorry i hijacked a bit there.

Don't have the wiring diagrams in front of me now but is this what you did?

Tapped the front high level lines from the original HU output with the new front high level AVIC output.

Tapped the rear low level lines from the original HU output with the new rear high level AVIC output.

Removed the wiring harness from the rear amp.

Placed a jumper across the original low level input wires and the original high level output wires on the wiring harness that was removed from the rear amp.

thanks alot bud!!!! we will see if that helps.. even though im positive thats how i wired mine... something else is funky.. i need to see pics of the harness behind the AVIC.. im really stubborn and i refuse to let an Audio shop do this now

yeah im pretty sure thats what i did. although i did not place a jumper across the amp, i just cut and spliced the wires together..leaving the amp by itsself
