iPhone 3G and stock Bose bluetooth.

Anyone here hooked their iPhone up to their stock Bose stereo yet?
Wondering if you can get the sucker to play music off of it through your stereo with bluetooth connectivity.

Actually..sorta curious if you can stream music via bluetooth to the audi Bose stereo with any device.

Please link me if this has already been covered..I wasn't able to find it in a search.

Yes, I've hooked it up. No you can't stream music using the bluetooth over the bose. Neither the iPhone nor the Audi support it.

Yea apple turned off that functionality in the iphone. The iphone works great in the audi though (talking)

As strange as it may sound, the iPhone 3g does not like the BMW bluetooth. Always some kind of echo while talking on the phone. In the audi though, it works great.

Have you compared it to a Razor? I can get my buddy's cell phone to feedback something aweful if I talk load enough when he's in the car but the stereo gives ZERO feedback. Just wondering if this is an issue with the iphone...not like its all that applicable..I don't often call my friends when they're sitting right next to me.

Thanks for the info on the bluetooth being nerfed on the iphone and the stock Bose system..what a let down..sorta gotta wonder why its like 1k for the Bose system and another 500 for bluetooth when all it is is phone connectivity with no other features. ugh..coulda bout a 170 dollar head that did that and steamed music.

Thanks nsmith, the device on euro-audi-parts looks interesting...wonder how'd that work with the Bose system though..not the Nav system.

My iPhone gives that awful buzz too when it's dialing the number. Not always, but frequently. It's rotten and embarrassing if someone else is in the car.

Does anyone know if there is a arm-rest console attachment to charge iPhone? I've noticed in the console it has the dock ready for whatever phone's charger adapter.
