^ If you decide to switch out your s-line sport suspension (PM ME)...i'll be glad to take them off your hands depending on the mileage used on them...

subtract the difference between a sline and stock suspersion to the 1.2, and that;s how much lower you'll be with the springs you want

Re: eibach pro springs vs s line suspension

I just dropped my car on the Eibachs(from sport suspension) about a month ago. I did not take a before measurement, but the post installation measurements are as follows: Front fender measures 25 3/8"; Rear measures 25". Ideally the front would be a tad lower, but all in all the Eibachs gave it a nice, conservative, yet noticeable drop. It is perfect for me, because I work out of my car, so I wasn't looking to slam it. They provide a nice combination of a lower, more aggressive stance, while retaining much of the factory ride quality, and I don't worry about scraping my DTM splitter on every drive approach I encounter. Just my .02...

also keep this in mind. i believe that the springs will lower it X amount. but if you use bilstein or eibach shocks or whatever, those shocks are also about a half inch shorter than your sline shocks. so on top of the springs lowering it, the shorter shocks also give it another half inch.

i think eibach says its .45" lower than sline, but most people say its actually ~1.25"

i dont know this from personal experience though, just from the many threads i have read about it. but i plan to put these on very soon

what??? shocks are only dampening the ride and do not affect the height.

honestly you could be right, because i really am no expert by any means at all..

but i was JUST at the audi dealership talking to one of the parts guys and he was telling me that aftermarket shocks are about half and inch shorter than the sline shocks and that this also causes the car to lower a bit more.

so basically he was saying that eibach springs/bilstein shocks would sit lower than eibach springs/sline shocks

um...alright...what y'all might be thinking about is that in the front, the springs do rest on the shock's threaded collar. this collar is adjustable, which may have confused some people about having shorter "shocks".

They might be, but that's only so they match up better with lowering springs. The car sits on springs, not shocks.

Re: eibach pro springs vs s line suspension

I would say that the shock will mostly affect the front height only. Why? Because in the front we actually have struts (the spring is around the shock and sit on the shock base). Depending on the shock the base where sit the spring could be slightly lower or highier than OEM...
