    GT3071r log. A little nervous....

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Well I fixed my laptop so I could then go do a log. I ran 21psi and timing 9 with Revo GTRS file with 440cc injectors and I have a brand new STOCK fuel pump as well just replaced under the recall like 2 months ago.

Dont know how to log for injectors to see if they are maxed or whatnot but that air/fuel looks a little lean to me.

just to refresh my memory - you multiply the lambda value by whatever A/F you see at idle right? with the ideal being 14.7 right?

am I reading it wrong? The first column is the actual air/fuel right? and in the 1st gear (2nd gear) at 6800 it was .88 and then it was .87 and .89 alot through the next gear (3rd gear) and then the final gear (4th gear) was .88 and .92

What is your idle A/F? Take your idle lambda and multiply it by 14.7 to figure out your baseline A/F. So say your idle A/F is .870, 14.7x.870=12.79, now take your in boost lambda and mulitpty it by that 12.79. So say your in boost lambda is .899, 12.79x.899=11.50, that would be your true A/F.

gonna have to go check idle a/f, but I thought that was pretty damn lean. WTF!

I thought that I saw it say like 1.2 or something before i took off before when still sitting at my house. Now it is saying 1.0 in both columns

That definitely wouldnt work on my car, my car idles around 10.1-2 or .69-.70

    .70*14.7= 10.29

I get .90-.93 on higher boost (13.2-13.4 on the wideband)

    .90*10.29=9.2

    Doesnt work

David, GET A WIDEBAND!!!! Some of you trying to push the limits of these files while staring at a computer ripping through gears just doesnt work anymore. With some of the things Ive seen on the wideband with my car, if I was relying on looking at a log later on, my car would have blown up quite a few times!

I didnt figure I was pushing anything. You ran way more boost and timing 6 or 7 on this file and 440/430 injectors didnt you?

3071R on a GTRS file ... thats pushing it IMO

27psi, T6, pump and meth. This was also on a built bottom which is a bit more forgiving than the stock rods

Yes you can, you cant share one with the ECU though. FYI, only the front sensor is wideband, the rear (cat efficiency) 02 sensor is narrowband 4 wire

Shawn you are my savior! Ive thrown that into posts many times, just to have oem wideband guys say its an accurate method to multiply voltages... ITS NOT... Get a dead nuts accurate gauge, with live feed... Ive had to rebuild my motor once due to running lean, hopefully it doesnt take that to get thru to you guys, Id hate to see that

Lambada voltages times 14.7... like .871 x 14.7 = 12.80 AFR... This is not a proven way to check afrs and it can only be checked after a run, not during when it counts... Until someone gets a wideband and logs the wideband gauge, then compares it against the other method, Im a not believer... Sorry

I couldnt agree more! An instant read and displayed wideband within view should be a necessity with any BT and especially BAT setup

Another FYI, anyone with REVO BT, take your rear 02 sensor out, hook it up somewhere safe (remember the heater circuit is still active), other than that, it does nothing. Put a wideband sensor in the rear spot with a gauge and your good to go, no welding needed

    no...

under WOT you want high 11's real low 12's for boosted cars

A/F is safe for race gas or a very good H20/meth blend. Timebomb on pump gas.

Log 032 and look to see what your fuel trims are. 440s may be a tad bit small for the 30-71

Re: GT3071r log. A little nervous....

But im not pushing it! I have the 630cc injectors sitting here, I just wanted to wait for the GT30 file to work correctly since apparently there was a complaint from 1552 and ecode for having poor rich idle.

I think there is no way im making more power right now at 20-21psi and timing 9 on the 3071 compared to with the GTRS. I could be wrong though but I dont think I notice a difference, so I dont see why the injectors could be tapped out or what the problem is. I just got my laptop working so I need to log some more. I will do that after work tomorrow and it will be on 19-20psi.

Guess I need to ask a friend with an iphone to buy the dynolicious thing and run some 1/4 mile runs and see what it says.
