    DRL/Tail light mod?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
hey guys, i've got a canadian C5, and as you may know DRL's are reqired in Canada, so our cars come with the fogs wired as DRLs... now i don't mind that, what i do mind is that the tail lights are on as well. Is there any way to turn off the tail lights during the day, and make them come on only when I have the headlights turned on?

Here is a link for how to do exactly what you are asking on an A4. I don't know if the A6 is the same, but if pulling the relay doesn't work right, it can always be put bakc in.

    Re: DRL/Tail light mod?

I think you need to do rewire at fog light connection, not at switch. Also avoids sensor issues that way. Which means remove bumper . My headlight problem requires this anyway so I'm getting it done as we speak.

My mistake - you have Canadian. My comments were re US guys wanting fogs on without headlights on (wired with parking lights).
