I didn't know Chris has the OEM sprocket. I also think he's got some 3658s like what you're going with.

I didn't even think about that. I first did a TB alignment since I had the TB off and stuff. Then I fired up the car. Once I got the car started the cover was rubbing on the cam gear so I shut her down. Took the cover off, ziptied the coolant and DV line away from the cam gear. Checked oil level and added more oil (since I changed it prior to cam install). Then fired her back up. Had my foot on the gas holding at 2,000rpm for a few minutes. My thought there was mainly to build up the engine temp to finish filling the coolant but I guess that doubled as 'cam break-in'. I don't know. 5mins. 10mins at 2000rpm perhaps. The lifters were loud again like when I first fired up the 2.0 from initial build. They eventually quieted down once oil pressure and temp was built up.
I was waiting for my neighbors to come bitching at me since it was 10/10:30 at night and I was making a lot of noise and had some high-power Halogen work lights shining on the car and driveway.
Once up to operating temp I finished clearing some codes (ABS and the like) and let it idle for a bit as I topped off the coolant and closed that system up. Then shut her down and went in for dinner.
After dinner I put the front bumper and headlights on so I could drive the car. Then went riping at WOT up and down my street a few times while logging and tweaking timing and boost. Revs up to 7000rpm once or twice but mainly revved up to 5800 or 6000rpm. Basically I just beat on the car like that one skateboard beating scene in the movie KIDS.
That was my night. Gonna get my dremel out and grind the high spots off my cam gear cover tonight and do some more logging. Most likely should be good to go for my trip up to Maine tomorrow.
