    Re: 1200 to spend..

How about you give me around $500 because you're a very nice person and you'll feel much better after you do that

On the side note though, I've been looking in to the ASP exhaust myself and it's pretty good, however someone also told me that it's better to just get a cheaper one, like you mentioned Borla/Vibrant depending on your sound taste and spend the rest of the money on something else.

lol I sure as hell hope he let the car warm up before starting it up like that... Even if it was warmed up, he gassed it right away.

If you can wait long enough i would suggest purchasing an exhaust in December when most have sales. Last year I got a brand new Twin 1 for 760 shipped.

    Re: 1200 to spend..

theres a couple B5 S4 exhausts in the classifieds section.

if I had $1200 and there were no maintenance issues to take care of i would go for some larger intercoolers, that hi-perf radiator on ebay (if its any good, i haven't looked into it much) and new bilstein struts, if you can fit it all in budget that is.

You have a custom exhaust that rusted already?

How many miles on the car? How old is the exhaust?

Or are you mainly wanting a better sounding exhaust?

for $1200 i'd buy some nice SMIC's and actually gain some performance for my $1200.

You could build a pretty sweet exhaust for cheaper than you can buy one for. There are a few guys on here that have done it, and I'm planning on doing the same.

Ill sell you my VM3 for $1,200 =] haha.

Naw but foreal though, I would spend it on suspension (used but in good shape). Then left over $$ save for wheels.

Best bang for your buck would be to get an ebay fmic kit and then get an exhaust. Both of these can be had for under 1200

Works great. i would buy the core off of ebay and then get the jhm piping kit. Intercoolers dont really give you horsepower, they just keep you from losing it by keeping your IAT's low when it gets hot or when you are running the car at WOT

I've got my full turbo back exhaust for sale in the classifieds. Labree DPs, Test pipes AND Cats (flanged) + Borla Cat back.

Or, just buy yourself $1200 in Race gas. Thats probably the best bang for the buck out of all your options.

Yeah, so you can have $1224 after 6 months at an APY of 4%. That's like 3 free quarts of oil! Or, you could place a bet on the Angels to win the World Series. You'll at least double your money in 3 months! Thats an APY of 400%!
