Clear Corner Mod/Lamin-x Reflectors/Vag-com/etc. - Completed with pics

    Hello All -

Had the car 4 days now and decided to jump in and do the clear corner mod (have done it on the past A4). That said, I've got everything done, but am debating on 'blacking out' the lid in the housing....

What's your opinion (on Ibis white)? I'm leaning towards leaving the lip chrome (as I may go with an RS4 grille down the road), but have gone back and forth (pics below to assist).

    Thanks for your help!
    Travis

    My Car:

Blacked Out (not mine of course), only Ibis I can find:

And of course...a couple of progress pics:

First off, your car is awesome. I love that combo. I say black it out. White/black contrast will look sweet. I think Pure Euro may have had his lights blacked out. Try searching his posts.

    Do it!

I clear cornered about 2 years ago...

A few months ago I baked my headlights AGAIN to black out the chrome strip. I remember contemplating whether I should do it or not when I CC'ed... I'm glad I baked them again to do it!

Re: Clear Corner Mod - Black out chrome 'lip' or not (Ibis White)? PICS

Thank you all for your recommendations. I decided, in the end, that I was not 100% sure I wanted to black it out. That said, it's obviously easier to black it out later (than to UN-do the painted lip). I'm very happy the way it turned out.....

Below are a few pics of the finished product. What was done:

    Clear Cornered
Solaris Chrome Signal and DRL bulbs
    Ziza City lights
    Vag-com Marker Delete (Euro)
    Hoen Yellow Fog Bulbs
    Lamin-x Reflectors

    More pics here: http://www.tgt24.com/2007A4/

Any questions....happy to answer (to assist others contemplating the mod). Bumper removal was significantly easier than I remembered.

    Thanks,
    T

Thanks. Yes, they are the Ziza city lights. I have the same issue as many others (I believe). They work fine with the engine running, however, without the engine running the passenger side turns off after 4-5 seconds. I also had a bulb out light (that went off) as well (I suspect something to do with the above). I have a new set coming to test....hopefully.

Thanks Greg. If you weren't so darn far away...I'd be all over it! It only took about 1.5hrs to remove the bumper, lamps, clear corner, and get the lamps back together (another hour or so to re-mount the bumper....but I made some adjustments as I wasn't completely happy how it was sitting). How about some phone support and encouragement!?

Night pics...hrrrmm, good idea, nothing yet. Maybe I'll snap a few tonight.

I say black them out. I would do the same to my car, but honestly, baking the headlamps in the oven kind of intimidates me.
