Onboard Computer?

I just upgraded from my 01 1.8T to an 07 2.0T and the one thing different in the car is that I do not have the onboard computer display in the dash for anything besides the fuel range. The wiper control arm does not have the buttons on it to switch through the modes. I bought the car CPO from Audi and wondering if the onboard computer is an option or am I missing something?

It's an option for 07.

what a crock. i cant believe thats an option.

Also is there a way to control the presets with the steering wheel too or is that another damn option? I can only change the stations on the wheel and not through the presets.

That's how it is on every car.

you cant change thru the presets with the steering wheel controls on an 07. you can in an A3 but not in an A4 for some reason

you can also look at oil temp and engine temp on the DIS in the A3. I wonder why the A4 doesn't have these features. Boo to Audi!

IIRC the A3 uses CANBUS while the A4 is mostly KKL with some CANBUS.
