Chillin on the web with my laptop while watchin the Olympics... then it came on. I can't find a clip on the net but, had to tell yall about it.

Basically this awesome time lapse type video effect starting in a very nice room with really nice old stuff... it pans around the entire room as everything is being upgraded/modernized. This totally caught my attention and at first I thought maybe "Ikea, a home company, or maybe a car company". It was impressive.

Then the camera stops at a floor to ceiling window and a Mercedes Benze drives up. I thought "oh blah... stupid car". The camera does the same upgrade/modernization effect and a black beautiful 2009 A4 shows up in place of the benze. Caught me totally by surprise and all I could do was jump up and say "FU(K YEAH, FU(K YEAH!" over and over .

BEST COMMERCIAL EVER! I'M SOLD (as soon as I get the money ).

Saw it last night during the olympics. I pretty much had the same reaction. I thought it was a nice slap in Mercedes face.

yeah my fiance and i saw it yesterday. wasn't expecting that at all. i thought it was a benz commercial and then bam, the new A4 is there. awesome commercial. we both went, wtf?!? holy crap that's nice! great job audi on the commercial.

Very cool. Something small I noticed was after it shows the trees, look on the wall. There's this figure that lights up and it's in the shape of the LED's in the headlights. Pretty cool. Not sure if that was meant to be like that or just me being insane.

I think the inside of the home symbolizes the prestige, perfection, and the consistent evolutions of Audi's interiors.

At first there're no TVs...maybe a conntation of the B5 platform or older, screenless nav. Then came the standing LCD tv, the rnse...and now as technology advances, tvs are now able to be hung on the wall, connotaing the new MMI which is kinda of located near the sidewalls of the dash as opposed to where the AC/heat controls are.

Interesteing interpretation of the commercial.

The way I interpreted it, was the room began as an old, boring place but changed into something different, something more modern. The same with the Mercedes. The typical boring car changing into something more exciting and glamorous!

EDIT** After continuously watching that commercial, since it is so brilliant, I love how much thought was planned into making it. Right after the Mercedes turn into the Audi, look to the right of that, and watch how the garbage cans turn into Recycling bins....little stuff like that, signify a change.....brilliant!

They rarely use any words and never mention anything about the price like every american and jap car maker in their commercials. Especially the Chevy/GM comercials during the weeks surrounding independence day, every year it's the same lay out.

the concept and atmosphere of the commercial are super classy. why did audi have to ruin it by giving mercedes garbage any screentime?

it's incredible how nice looking the front of the new audis are. compared with just about any other car, it's light years ahead in styling. then you get inside on and drive, and the audi just steps it up even more over the competition.

I totally agree and I ALWAYS wish more of US drivers would understand that. EVERYTHING... even pop culture in general think "OH MY GOD... IT'S A MERCEDES!" BIG F'N DEAL!

I think this commercial will help change that and it was Audi's intention to do so; tell the "truth in engineering"
