Its still a 4-cylinder... our engines sound great but wasting money on a mod to make it "louder"?! ugh...
Get a real, tuned exhaust with a test pipe - that will sound as good as it gets without going overboard.
You are getting the wrong idea, my friend. You have never heard a car with a dump tube, so let me make it clear for you.
1. It does not sound like it would if you just cut off your exhaust. The exhaust after the dump tube absorbs some of the sound and that, and with the tube open it just sounds like a really loud normal exhaust... hard to explain.
2. It does not sound ricey. In no way does it sound like a fart can (like a metallic vibration or high pitched). It sounds more like an aftermarket exhaust on the 2.0T x10 haha.
3. "Wasting money to make it louder". We have a turbo application, so we want the least amount of back pressure possible so the turbo can spool up as fast as it can. True, our oem turbo is small and turbo lag is minimal, but think about it. It does help a little, and in higher gears it helps a lot.
You'll see what I mean if we get a video up.

I'm keeping an open mind!
Way to be, thinking for yourself and all
Trust me, it does not sound ricey. It's just really loud, but weird. At idle, it's just extremely deep and sound like a damn tractor or something (not in a bad way) but at WOT,
then it gets extremely loud and is like catback + test pipe x10. Not ear piercing loud where you'll hate it, because I drove around with mine open all the time because it was friggin fun and hilarious in an Audi TT. But everyone hears it
