    Good deal on a 2004 A4 Quattro????

Hello guys i was looking at a 2004 A4 Quattro 5 speed automatic with 35,578 at $16,995. I went out to the dealership today and looked at the car and saw no dings or paint chips anywhere and there were no buffs on any of the rims. I was wondering if this is a good price to pay for the car and how much more can the price be lowered. Also, i just wanted to know the reliabilty on the parts of this car becasue i might be using this car as a daily commuter 50miles per day to go to work and come back (in total 50 miles). Also, i own a 1999 Mercedes-Benz C230-Kompressor and was going to trade that in for this because ive gotten 109k miles on it and i really need to sell it, and wondered if the maintanence fees are equal or less of the audi compared with the mercedes. Thanks for ur help.

seems to be a fairly good deal, i would say go for a M/T if you ever plan on modding though - youll be mad at yourself if you ever want a standard tranny. Also, maintaining it will probably be similiar, but you could always save a few pennies by doing it yourself.

yes i know but i wont be doing any modding. i was looking up at some common problems with the A4 and found out that there is a sludge problem with the B6 (i think) and wanted to know what other common problems there could be with a 2004 A4. Also is there a way to find out if the previous owner had synthetic oil replaced at every 5k miles??
