    Small A/C Problems...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Alright, a few months ago my a/c compressors bearings blew and the compressor was shot. Yesterday I replaced the a/c compressor, dryer, orifice tube, and cleaned out all the lines. Today I took it to a shop and they filled the compressor with oil and pressure tested it and filled it with freon, and it did/held fine.

Now here is the problem, the unit will not power on! The blower will not either! The blower stopped working when the compressor blew. I have no idea what the problem could be, maybe a blown fuse?

I ran the diagnostic on the climate control panel and came up with these codes.

18.3 Fresh air blower voltage, sporadic
20.1 A/C compressor voltage not OK - static,
22.1 (F118) A/C Refrigerant High Pressure Switch, static open,

    Someone help!

I don't see how those codes are related to a mechanical issue you had with the compressor. Sounds like a wiring issue to me.

Definitely check the fuses, but I'd look to make sure everything is plugged in and that you're getting the correct voltage to each sensor/actuator. If not, then I'd start tracing the wiring back and making sure your grounds are good.
