Where to tap into rear speakers?

I need some help/ideas. I had a Symphony II radio and installed an aftermarket stereo. I have the radio harness that uses the stock amp for the sub and rear speakers. The problem that I have is the rear speakers are a lot quieter than the fronts.

So, I want to bypass the stock amp and run the rear speakers from the deck until I can get a 4 channel amp to power them all.

Where should I tap into the rear speakers?
APR TIP, APR 1+, TT injectors, RaceTec FMIC, JHM Extra short throw shifter (45% reduction), ER Test Pipe, 19" OZ Ultraleggeras, B5S4 Front Calipers, Adam's Rotors with black hubs, Hawk HPS, PSS9 coilovers, Hotchkis Sways, clear corners, tint, Magnaflow Exhaust, Podi pod with SW boost gauge.

The rear channels are low level to the rear amp, You would have to move the rear channels to the high level outputs at the HU, and disconnect the signal lines at the rear amp low level inputs, and connect to the speakers directly, by using a bypass jumper for each channel, and another for the signal return circuit. (Negitive) The stock setup uses a common signal return.

    Do you have a Bentley?

Re: Where to tap into rear speakers?

Thanks for the reply. I do have a Bentley CD and have looked for information can't seem to find what I need. Only locations for the components and some other stuff that doesn't help. I will look for the wire diagrams again.

So you are saying that I cannot tap into the high level outs at the stock amp because there is not a ground for both channels?

So I have to tap directly to the speaker and if so where is the stock crossover located? So I still have the tweeter and mid range driver.

    I am trying to figure

    Ok, that will help!

I will have run some wires from my headunit to that location. I will post back with any problems but have to finish helping my roommate put springs/camper kit on his Z. Rears are done but fronts might take a little bit.

    Thanks again!
