I've come to the conclusion that my water pump is dead in my car (read in the tech section) and in my investigation I've discovered that a whole lot of people have had the same problem while being under the recommended interval for the timing belt. So how is it that they are treating the timing belt failures in this lawsuit but not the water pump? I am currently only at 46k and I've got to replace a water pump already? C'mon! Audi obviously screwed up by having the TB interval be at 105k, but having a plastic impeller on a water pump that often breaks is also a stupid move. So right now I'm debating whether or not I want the dealer to fix this because if it does come to a lawsuit, I would like them to pay for it rather than myself. Anybody know how these class action settlements come about?
