Here at A&P we have parted out over 25 A4s since our inception. You've probably seen our postings in the old classifieds announcing the availability of parts off of new cars coming in. I know some of you have checked out our eBay store in the past, and may have been disappointed at the lack of pictures or detailed descriptions--well, we were too. That's why we're happy to announce that we are just finishing up the closing stages of completely revamping our parts inventory system.
When we originally got our eBay store up and running, it was with data that didn't have pictures, shipping dimensions, or really detailed descriptions. Furthermore, by the time we got it posted, we had sold many, many items, and we had lost track of what and how many items we really had in stock. Whole sections of our inventory had never been counted before, either.
This past July, we set out to change all of this, by completely handcounting, photographing, measuring, weighing, and reboxing everything we have in stock from A4s, C4 A6s, an A8, and a couple of old V8 Quattros. We're in the very closing stages of finishing that process, and as someone who's spent 4 hours a day in a warm shop counting items, it's a relief
.The end result is items with pictures, dead-nuts accurate shipping quotes, and much better item descriptions (these will be getting even better in the coming weeks).
